Colin Schleeh

Colin Schleeh’s work mostly deals with form and function as well as making the impossible possible. He uses curved forms along with texture and color in his work where each piece is individually formed. Colin uses both traditional and nontraditional materials in his work. Some of those materials are resin, paper, film, cement, wood and plastics. These materials create a simple elegance in his pieces. He is open to experimenting with different material and is not afraid of failing. To Colin, in failure you gain knowledge. Using thin pieces of wood and other material to create containers that should not be able to hold water in his work.
Colin Schleeh has designed commissions for Hermes of Paris (New York), Bulgari and Birks. Schleeh is currently featured in the Art Gallery of Ontario and Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, and is represented in galleries and collections internationally.
