Romero Britto

Considered to be a modern day Pop icon, Britto’s work relates to people of all ages. He bring together playful colors and themes that relates strongly to compositional elements within cubism. Romero’s approach to humor and criticism of current pop culture society has inspired the development of innovative approaches to contemporary Pop Art. Taking art to a new level Britto has painted and decaled buses, cars, and aircrafts . He's not only discovered an innovated way of advertising his work, he has brought attention to the relationship between the work and the role of the viewer. Specifically referring to the use of vehicles as canvases for his paintings, Bitto’s work is not usable in a sense where he didn’t make and develop the automobile his work is painted onto; instead he uses the structure of the vehicles and airplanes as a large scale canvas for millions of people to view.
