Michele De Lucchi

Michele De Lucchi is a Italian architect and designer. He moves between furniture, interior design, lighting, and interior and exterior architecture. He studied architecture at Padua and Florence until 1975. While still a student, De Lucchi teamed up with Ettore Sottsass, Alessandro Mendini and Andre Branzi in 1973 to form Cavart, a radical design group which put on Happenings and held seminars in and around Padua. Along with Cavart, De Lucchi was part of Alchymia and Memphis. His comical approaches to the creation of new styles in architecture and design played an important role in the Cavart, Alchymia, and Memphis movements.
