Mishima Kimiyo

Kimiyo deals with the ideas of human ability to consume on a grand level.  She uses common imagery of products and creates a realistic version out of clay.  With decals, silkscreen and transfer paper she can create the illusion of a box from Del Monte.  Newspapers, magazines, boxes, bricks and trash are made to speak to the world about its' waste.  She has been addressing these issues since the 1970's and is still working today to help change our glutinous ways
